Greenberg Traurig’s Angelika Hunnefeld Speaks at the 9th Latin American Arbitration Congress in Lima

Angelika Hunnefeld, a shareholder in the Miami office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, participated as a panel speaker at the ninth Latin American Arbitration Congress in Lima, Peru.

Hunnefeld’s panel on “Taking Evidence in Arbitration: The influence of the common-law on the arbitration process,” focused on exploring the relationship between the common-law and arbitration systems.

The Latin American Arbitration Congress is designed to further the teaching of international commercial and investment arbitration by gathering professionals and building their expertise in this growing area of legal practice. This year’s event was organized by the Peruvian Institute of Arbitration in collaboration with the Peruvian Chapter of the Spanish Arbitration Club.

Hunnefeld focuses her practice in the areas of commercial litigation, international business arbitration and compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). She is experienced in matters involving multi-jurisdictional issues, international dispute resolution, and enforcement of foreign judgments and foreign arbitral awards. She also assists clients with matters relating to issues arising under the anti-bribery and record-keeping provisions of the FCPA. She is fluent in Spanish and proficient in French and Portuguese.
