Luke Goggin has been named as British Airways’ new area general manager for Europe and North Africa. Goggin is currently head of corporate sales for the airline and will take up the new role this month. He replaces Gavin Halliday who is now managing director of Avios.

Mark Servodidio has been named managing director for the UK at Avis Budget Group. Servodidio will oversee revenue generation in the market including B2B, consumer and intermediary business as well as operations and fleet management. He was previously EVP for franchise and corporate services EMEA at the group and has also worked at Kraft, Pepsi-Cola and Frito-Lay.

Deirdre Wells OBE has been appointed chief executive officer at UKinbound. Wells will join the association on 4 March from the Department of Culture, Media and Sport where she is currently the government’s head of tourism. She has worked at the DCMS for 20 years.

Sallie Coventry has been named portfolio director for the IBTM Events Portfolio. Coventry has joined Reed Travel Exhibitions after being managing director of WO, where she oversaw double digit growth of her key accounts for three years.

Alison Broadhead has joined Jumeirah Group as chief commercial officer. Broadhead will be based in dubai and lead the hotel group’s commercial strategy for sales, marketing, revenue management and communications. Born in Aberdeen, Broadhead has previously worked at Marriott for several years.

Guy Snelgar has joined Amadeus as head of sales and consulting UK Ireland at Amadeus. John Prentice has also joined the technology firm, as senior sales consulting manager, leisure UK Ireland. The pair will both be based at Amadeus’s Gatwick offices and will consult on solutions.

Heike Birlenbach has been appointed vice president sales and services Europe at Lufthansa German Airlines. Birlenbach will take on the new role on 1 March and will be based in Frankfurt covering sales, marketing and airport operations. She first joined Lufthansa in 1990.
