Earth Touch inks natural history deals across Europe

South African wildlife and factual producer Earth Touch has sold several natural history programs to channels throughout Europe.

France 5 has picked up Speed Kills (3 x 50 minutes), which is about the high-speed movements of nature’s hunters, as well as A Dog’s Tale (1 x 50 minutes) and Cheetahs of the Deep (1 x 50 minutes).

In Spain, TVE has acquired A Year In the Wild (5 x 43 minutes), Speed Kills, and the shark special Ragged Tooth (1 x 50 minutes).

Germany’s ARD has also picked up A Dog’s Tale and TV Poland has taken eight one-hour specials, including Lost Lagoon, Trouble in Lemurland and Cheetah – Price of Speed.

Viasat has bought eight hours of programming to air in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe, including the shark attack special Mystery of Shark Beach and A Year in the Wild.

Italian broadcaster Rai 2 picked up the predator show Africa’s Deadliest (3 x 50 minutes) as well as Underwater Okavango (1 x 50 minutes) and Crocodile Labyrinth (1 x 50 minutes, pictured above), which is the follow-up to Diving with Crocodiles. Also in Italy, Rai 3 acquired The Beaver Whisperers (1 x 50 minutes).
